    Easy Homemade Sloppy Joes

    Jump to Recipe
3 sloppy joe sandwiches on hambuger buns

Although it is easy to buy Sloppy Joe sauce in a can, this homemade version is tastier and easy to make. If you are implementing planned leftovers, try using the leftovers on Sloppy Joe Pizza. Add Salt & Serve is a big advocate of bulk cooking meat for the freezer to make dinnertime prep easier. Instead of cooking one pound of ground beef each time you need it, try buying five pounds at a time and browning it all at once. You can use one pound for dinner and freeze the other four pounds for future use. It takes up less space than raw ground beef in the freezer, and it takes less time to brown five pounds once than to brown one pound five times.

I used spicy brown mustard instead of yellow and ground deer instead of beef. Everybody but the 3 year old loved it. Went well with corn on the cob. Put a little tiger sauce on mine for some extra kick!
