    ⏲️ Time needed

The initial time needed is just cooking the pasta and rinsing with cool water, since the other ingredients need no preparation. Allow a couple of hours for chill time, for a total of about 2 hours 15 minutes.

    🥘 Ingredients

    • elbow macaroni
    • water-packed tuna, drained
    • 2 cups sour cream
    • shredded cheddar cheese
    • thawed frozen peas
    • lemon-pepper seasoning, to taste

    📋 Instructions

Tuan pasta is super easy to make, and is a great recipe for kids to try their hand at cooking. Just cook noodles according to package directions, drain, and add the remaining ingredients. Stir well and chill for 2 hours before serving.

    💭 Tips

When buying canned tuna for recipes like this, I prefer to use tuna brands like Wild Planet which are harvested using line and pole or trolling for sustainability; this method results in less than half the by-catch of other methods. They are more expensive than other brands, but the method also results in "these methods catch only smaller migratory fish, that are lower in mercury." [source] Since I eat a lot of tuna, lowering mercury is important to me.
