โฒ๏ธ Time needed

This recipe assumes you already have cooked mashed potatoes, either leftover from a recent meal or purchased prepared. If this is not the case, you'll need to prepare mashed potatoes using your preferred recipe.

If you have the mashed potatoes, you'll only need a couple of minutes to chop the onion, then about 10 minutes to cook the beef and onions. With a baking time of about 30 minutes, this dish can be ready to serve in about 45 minutes.

๐Ÿฅ˜ Ingredients

  • ground beef
  • onion
  • frozen mixed vegetables
  • water
  • condensed tomato soup
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Italian seasoning
  • prepared mashed potatoes

๐ŸŒพ Adaptations for dietary restrictions

Worcestershire sauce can contain soy sauce, which is not gluten-free.ย  Worcestershire sauce is also typically not vegetarian, but The Wizardโ€™sโ„ข Organic Gluten Free Vegan Worcestershireย (affiliate link) is both gluten-free and vegetarian.

๐Ÿ“‹ Instructions

Preheat oven to 375ยฐF. In a large oven-proof skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until done. Add the vegetables and water to the skillet and stir to mix. Stir in the soup, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning, then top with mashed potatoes.

Bake at 375ยฐF for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

๐Ÿ’ญ Tips

  • Leftover roast beef can be substituted for the ground beef.
  • Add a can of drained fire-roasted tomatoes or a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste for an even richer flavor.
