Ingredients
½cupbutter
1cupgranulated sugar
1large egg
2medium Granny Smith apples
½cupchopped walnuts
1cupall-purpose flour
½teaspoonbaking soda
½teaspoonbaking powder
¼teaspoonsalt
½tablespoonground cinnamon
non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
Melt ½ cup butter.
Core, peel, and chop 2 medium Granny Smith apples.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, 1 cup granulated sugar, and 1 large egg.
Stir in apples and ½ cup chopped walnuts.
Add 1 cup all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon baking powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon. Mix gently (expect this batter to be thick).
Spray a 9-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Pour/spoon the batter into the baking dish and spread out until even.
Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
