– onion – ketchup – molasses – brown sugar – mustard – Worcestershire sauce – canned baked beans – beef franks
1
Slice six franks lengthwise. Slice six franks into bite-size pieces cross-wise. Tip: For small children, slice the franks lengthwise before slicing cross-wise for smaller pieces.
2
In a medium bowl, combine all of the ingredients except the beans and the hot dogs that were sliced length-wise. Mix well.
Add the baked beans to the bowl and mix well. Many recipes would call for heating this on the stove, but don't give in to the temptation!
3
Pour the beans and franks mixture into a 2 quart baking dish. Bake in a 300ºF oven for one hour.
4
Top with the remaining hot dogs, cut side down, and return to the oven. Bake an additional 30 minutes.
5
Serve with a side salad or seasoned green beans. Store leftovers in a sealed container for up to 4 days.
