I can usually cook anything with good results....except steak! I accepted this fact years ago and left the steaks up to my husband on the grill (and he doesn't do them justice either) lol but when I tried this recipe I couldn't believe that I had made great steaks for once in my life! I never used or heard of oyster sauce before and I don't do seafood but I decided to give it a try anyway, when I smelled the oyster sauce I thought it smelled horrible too but the finished product didn't taste or smell like that at all. It smelled and tasted delicious, it was tender and juicy like a steak should be. I've made this recipe 3 times since and the whole family agrees....its a keeper!

I had to laugh when you described smelling the oyster sauce—the first time my husband smelled fish sauce he insisted that I throw it away because it smelled so awful. ? He has come a long way since those days, and I now keep a bottle in my pantry. A little goes a long way! I'm glad this has turned into a dependable steak recipe for you!
