This homemade biscuit mix using dehydrated butter and dehydrated whole eggs is a good alternative to box mix. It can be stored at room temperature and makes wonderful biscuits when mixed with buttermilk.
Ingredients
- 8-½ cups flour
- 1-¼ cups dehydrated butter, or dehydrated shortening
- ¾ cups powdered milk
- ½ cup dehydrated whole egg
- ¼ cup baking powder
- 1 T. salt
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Instructions
- Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 12 months. Use in place of commercial biscuit mix.
