    If you have access to dehydrated butter and dehydrated whole eggs, this mix is a good alternative to box mix. It can be stored at room temperature and makes wonderful biscuits when mixed with buttermilk.

    This homemade biscuit mix using dehydrated butter and dehydrated whole eggs is a good alternative to box mix. It can be stored at room temperature and makes wonderful biscuits when mixed with buttermilk.

    Ingredients
      

    • 8-½ cups flour
    • 1-¼ cups dehydrated butter, or dehydrated shortening
    • ¾ cups powdered milk
    • ½ cup dehydrated whole egg
    • ¼ cup baking powder
    • 1 T. salt
    • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions

    • Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 12 months. Use in place of commercial biscuit mix.
